The complex intersection of Løvenskiolds Gate and Balders Gate is reconfigured to create a new public square, Balders Plass. A seat-height ring of stone encircles a space that is protected from the street activity but establishes a generous accommodation for the public, patrons of the establishments housed in the new ground floor retail, and the residents of the competition-winning apartment building.
