Ron Henderson invited to City/Cite panel and leads tour

Ron Henderson participated in two days of meetings and visits organized by the French Consulate in Chicago with professionals and teacher-researchers from Paris and Chicago governments, Sciences Po, and Illinois Institute of Technology. The events are devoted to the renewal of the urban fabric and territorial planning regarding the new environmental, social, and political challenges. The aim is to organize professional meetings between urban planning actors on both sides of the Atlantic in research, public policies, and their concrete implementation to share methods and practices and to lay the foundations for possible future international collaborations.

The dialogue leverages the convergence of the municipal agendas of the cities of Paris and Chicago, which are currently revising their urban plans around resilience, diversity, inclusion, and climate change. This will be an opportunity to revisit Acts of Urbanism, an experimental research initiative supported by the French Institute, at the intersection of design, urbanism, and the performing arts.
