Distinguished panel discussion at Los Piños

Mexico City 30 TREES Book Launch and Signing

The Mexican Society of Landscape Architects and UNAM are hosting a panel discussion, book launch, and book signing for 30 TREES. The event will be held in the forest of Chapultepec at Los Piños, the former residence of the presidents of Mexico. It is a remarkable group in an extraordinary place. Ron Henderson, editor of 30 TREES, will be joined on the panel with three landscape architects who contributed chapters to the book:

Mario Schjetnan, landscape architect, Grupo de Diseño Urbano. He has been recognized for his influential work with the Prince of Wales/Green Prize in Urban Design for Xochimilco Ecological Park and the ASLA President's Award for Excellence for Parque El Cedazo.

Maria A. Villalobos H., director of the Landscape Architecture + Urbanism program at Illinois Institute of Technology and creative director of Botanical City.

Pedro Camarena, professor of Landscape Architecture at UNAM and program consultant for the Ecological Reserve at Pedregal de San Angel. He is former president of the Mexican Society of Landscape Architects (SAPM).

Fernanda Rionda, President, Mexican Society of Landscape Architects.
