Project Budburst

Chicago Botanic Garden

Illinois Institute of Technology

Budburst is a nationwide initiative to help scientists understand the effects of climate change on plants by recording the timing of leafing, flowering, and fruiting of a variety of plant species. Budburst aims to help scientists measure asynchronous plant-pollinator activities in light of climate change.

Ron Henderson/LIRIO is collaborating with Chicago Botanic Garden and Illinois Institute of Technology on the design and construction of a Budburst garden on the campus of Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
