Ron Henderson is first landscape architect selected for Japan-US Friendship Commission Creative Artists Fellowship
Ron Henderson was selected for 2012 Creative Artists Fellowship sponsored by the Japan-US Friendship Commission, National Endowment for the Arts, and Bunkacho Japanese Cultural Agency. His five-month fellowship in Japan extended his previous research, Routine Maintenance, with travel and study of performative cultural landscapes in Japan – including o’hanami, the cherry blossom celebrations. He was the first landscape architect to be selected for this fellowship which was inaugurated in 1978.
